Metaphorical significance in fundamentalist and linguistic understandin

Abstract

The study stated the impact of the real understanding to metaphor in accepting this linguistic phenomenon on which linguists and fundamentalists were different in its existence, subdivisions, and the rules extracted by it. This research is an attempt to identify its meaning and its rule concerning the linguistic status of usage and reveal ambiguity that is made by some researchers who denied the existence of this phenomenon in the Arabic usage. What is remarkable is that this study has presented a clear an undoubted image of the techniques used in distinguishing the real and metaphoric meaning of words. Further, the study has shown the possibility of using metaphor in extracting legal terms. One result of this research is that it introduced a new vision to enlarge the dictionary meaning to include the perceptible and materialistic indications and other abstract cognitive indications.
